20-Minute Sheet Pan Italian Sliders

These mini Italian sandwiches are a family favorite and so easy to make! I use a 12-pack of connected slider buns, pile on salami, pepperoni, and provolone, then bake them on a sheet pan. After baking, I add chopped veggies and dressing, top with the bun lids, and slice into individual sandwiches. Done in under 20 minutes and always a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

  • One pack of 12 dinner rolls or slider buns
  • ¼ pound sliced salami
  • ¼ pound sliced pepperoni
  • ¼ pound sliced provolone
  • 2 cups sliced iceberg lettuce about half a head
  • 1 large tomato sliced, or ½ cup cherry tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced banana peppers
  • ½ sliced small red onion
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp each dried oregano basil, and thyme (or 1 tbsp Italian seasonings)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the buns in half if they are not pre-sliced. Place both the tops and bottoms of the buns on the baking sheet with the sliced sides up.
  3. Place a layer of salami on top of the bottoms of the buns. You do not need to worry about making sure each slice of salami fits on an individual bun; just place the salami in a layer over all the buns. We will cut the buns into individual sandwiches later. Place the pepperoni in a layer on top of the salami, and then place a layer of provolone on top.
  4. Bake the sandwiches for 7 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the meat is cooked to your liking.
  5. Meanwhile, place the lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, and red onion on a cutting board and loosely chop everything. Add the mayonnaise, olive oil, vinegar, seasonings, salt, and pepper and mix together.
  6. When the sandwiches are out of the oven, spread the lettuce mixture on top of the cheese. Place the tops of the buns on top and then cut into individual sandwiches and serve.
